I've been having a couple of 'off' weeks where I didn't really stick to things, and therefore didn't lose much weight.
So I've decided to try Alli, the new over-the-counter pill that stops you absorbing a quarter of the fat you eat.
It's dead easy - you just swallow a tablet with each meal.
I've been taking it for six days, and hadn't suffered any side affects (some people find it gives them the runs) so I was wondering if it was actually working.
But I had my weigh in tonight, and lost 4lbs. I'd been fairly good this week, but had a few meals out and BBQs, so would have expected to lose about 2lbs without the Alli.
The other big plus for me is it makes me stick to my diet - I know that if I don't I might end up with some side effects, so it's a great incentive to stick to a low fat diet.
I'm impressed with the results in the first week, and hope this will be the kick up the bum I need to buckle down and get on with losing weight.
